Oneta Cole

Oneta is an artist from Booneville, Mississippi.  She has worn many hats in the art world through the last 50 years.  She has worked as a silk screen artist, a sign painter, a truck and race car letterer, a portrait painter,  a wildlife painter, and a science fiction and fantasy artist.  Her work has appeared in many publications and been sold in stores and shops throughout the world.

For over 40 years, she traveled the United States, exhibiting at festivals, art shows, PowWows and sci-fi and fantasy conventions.  Her artwork has been used as a postal cancellation stamp, car tags, in magazines and advertising for many events.
Oneta was featured in the Mississippi PBS show, “Mississippi Roads” and appeared on the Television show, “Nashville Now”.   She has been Artist Guest of Honor for many events including the Great Indian Exposition in Richmond, Virginia and Contraflow SF and Fantasy Convention in New Orleans.
For the past few years she has settled at home more, continuing a lifetime of teaching and painting and experimenting with different types of art.
